Keep a close eye on your emails and always stay notified with the help of this Firefox extension that works with all major email services out there

X-notifier is a web browser extension that notifies you when you receive new emails. It supports the Firefox, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey platforms. The app can be easily installed and configured, by both first-time and skilled users.

So, you can easily add new accounts to X-notifier, by specifying the email service, username, password and alias. The tool can look into Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, Daum, Naver, Nate, POP3, IMAP, and XN-forums.

Once you receive a new email, X-notifier pops up a small window in the bottom-right corner of the screen and plays a sound, by default.

In addition, you can add scripts to the configuration options, make the app display spam notifications, hide labels, and enable the option to automatically open new emails.

Plus, you may establish the number of minutes for the check-up, enable auto-login and multi-login, keep the session for the links, as well as export X-notifier data, in order to use it in the future.

From the 'General' tab, you can tick the option to reset the counter when opening messages, open them in a new tab or window, disable sound and configure pop-up menu settings (e.g. X-notifier sidebar), among others.

The lightweight tool is not a concern for the computer's resources, as it runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and didn't cause us any problems during our evaluation, such as freezing, crashing or displaying error dialogs. All in all, X-notifier is an excellent tool that automatically verifies your email accounts.
