CloneDVD Mobile 1.9.2.0

Converts your DVD movies quickly and easily into a format that your mobile equipment can play without any real effort from its hardware

CloneDVD Mobile is an application which you can use to convert DVDs to video formats supported by mobile devices, such as 3GP, AVI, WMV and MP4.

The tool has a user-friendly interface which consists of a simple-to-follow wizard.

You can get started by selecting the output profile, after which you can input the DVD via the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.

So, you can view DVD information (e.g. video format, audio streams, subtitles), preview the clip and trim chapters. In the next step, you can select the audio stream and subtitle (optionally disable it).

Furthermore, you can specify the output destination and name, set the resolution and video quality, deinterlace the video material and produce separate chapter files.

During the conversion process, you can enable CloneDVD Mobile to automatically shut down the computer when it finishes, view progress and remaining time, as well as view a summary and log file.

In the "Preferences" menu you can disable the automatic checkup for updates and program sounds (or you can specify your own audio tracks).

The program runs on moderate system resources, includes a tutorial with snapshots and didn't freeze or crash during our tests. The image and sound quality in the output videos is very good.

However, CloneDVD Mobile failed to convert a DVD to the AVI format during our tests, due to an encoding error. Otherwise, we strongly recommend this tool to all users.

DVDFab Passkey Lite 8.2.5.7

Effortlessly remove part of DVD/Blu-ray protections with the help of this user-friendly, lightweight and comprehensive software solution

More and more users prefer to purchase their movies on Blu-ray discs rather than on DVD, mainly due to the increased video quality they provide. However, some of them cannot be played on computers since they come with increased protection against piracy. DVDFab Passkey Lite is a feature-packed disc decrypter that you can use to remove protection off DVDs and Blu-rays.

After you install DVDFab Passkey, you can specify the type of edition you want to test, and the Lite one is the single one that can be used for as long as you want, yet it does include reduced functions compared to DVDFab Passkey for DVD or to DVDFab Passkey for Blu-ray.

You can use the application to decrypt most types of protections such as AACS V10, RC, BD-Live, and UOPs, yet AACS V12+, BDAV, or AVCREC for Blu-ray are not available, so you need to upgrade your app if you want to watch movies with these types of protections.

On the other hand, you still watch DVDs that come with ARccOS or RipGuard protection, but you cannot copy them. The software utility can completely decrypt the discs protected with RC, RCE, APS, and UOPs.

Due to DVDFab Passkey Lite, you can rely on your favorite program to watch the decrypted movie, and even rip or clone it, in case you want to backup the movie onto another disc. You can also adjust the transparency of the subtitles as you see fit.

Furthermore, the application can be used to decrypt audio CDs or HD DVDs, as well as 3D Blu-ray discs, provided your computer has the required hardware specs.

All in all, DVDFab Passkey Lite includes a wide array of features that can help you decide if you need to purchase a license for additional decryption support, or if you are satisfied with the functionality of this app.
