CryptoPrevent 6.0

A useful tool that promises to ensure protection against the CryptoLocker worm, preventing it from encrypting files in your computer

CryptoPrevent provides you with a method for protecting your computer from being infected by the CryptoLocker worm, which encrypts locally stored files and asks you for a ransom in order to decrypt them.

What this application actually does is artificially create and implement group policy objects that will block certain programs from running. Certain locations on your computer, such as the '/appdata' folder are used for launching CryptoLocker.

CryptoPrevent will ensure protection against the effects of this worm for all the computer users, thus you don't have to login on another account and install it again.

Note: In order to keep the application up-to-date automatically, you have to upgrade to the Premium version. The Premium version users can also configure email alerts, create a custom block / allow policy.

What's New in This Release: 

• Added blocking of fake file extensions with spaces in them to hide the extension.
• Added blocking of cipher.exe along with syskey.exe, for the potential abuse.
• Added ability to create custom block and allow policies with scripting support. (Premium version only)
