Argente Utilities is a software that comes packed with many tools necessary for maintaining and optimizing your system.
Once you initiate the program (with "Run as Administrator" in Windows 7), you can enable automatic maintenance and updates.
The user interface is clean and intuitive. You can use tools found in "Maintenance", "Optimization", "Security", "Tools" and "Functions".
So, you can clean the registry after selecting the objects you want to explore and the disks after you select file types and configure options (detect invalid shortcuts, don't detect "read only" files or explore system folders).
But you can also perform a scan on environments which relate to your privacy, such as the clipboard, downloaded installers, Recycle Bin, memory dump files, recent documents, screensaver history, and more.
Furthermore, you can uninstall applications (and use a search function), manage programs which automatically run at system startup, as well as processes that are currently active.
Moreover, you can optimize the memory after configuring options (e.g. "I use a printer", "stop Messenger service", "disable administrative privileges"), as well as clean spyware (e.g. analyze registry, cookies and removable units) or immunize it (e.g. automatic startup on all fixed hard disks or removable units, objects included by the user).
Plus, you can repair executable files that don't properly work, remove all system restrictions, fix the most common problems created by malware, and others.
But Argente Utilities also lets you schedule tasks, use Windows tools (e.g. Calculator, Command Prompt) and a personal organizer, create an exclusion list, backup and restore files and the registry, as well as use a file encrypter, renamer and shredder, icon extractor, image converter, password generator, and more.
The program uses a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, doesn't include a help file and didn't freeze or crash during our tests. Since it obviously includes a lot of various functions, their effectiveness cannot be rated as excellent (for example, the registry cleaner is not able to fix all the found programs).
Overall, Argente Utilities is a very good program and we strongly recommend it to all users for computer maintenance.
